I’ve been coming to see Chris for my haircuts for a couple of years now and it’s always a top-notch experience. The salon itself is beautiful, all of the stylists are friendly and kind, and the service is consistently high quality without being pretentious. Chris always gives helpful suggestions but isn’t pushy and I always leave with my hair looking exactly how I imagined. Can’t recommend enough!

Talented staff. Welcoming atmosphere. My experience was excellent. Emily listened to what I wanted, “make it look better” and then did it, I will be returning. It was raining when I was leaving and Emily, umbrella in hand, walked with me to my car. Great customer appreciation. Thank you.

Followed my stylist Zac to this salon when Hair Scene closed the shop due to covid. Zac is the best and she also seems so much happier here working for Cassie. Shop is great. Very fresh and modern feel. The only issue is that Zac has become so sought after I have to plan my appointments so far in advance. Not a bad problem for her to have!

My sister booked this place months in advance for us to get ready for our cousin's engagement party. The process to book was smooth and I assumed they were very good since it was a while to get a booking. The salon was nicely decorated, clean and very busy. There were many staff members who were all doing various treatments on customers and I could tell it was a popular place to come get your wedding/events hair and makeup done.We were booked so each of us would have someone working on our hair and later our eye makeup so we could start/finish together and also have enough time to go home and get ready and be on time for the event. Simply put, the first person out of my party left 45 minutes late from the salon and the last person left close to 90 minutes late from the salon. We were displeased and surprised that there was no explanation, apology, nothing. Many other customers were also really behind in their events due to the salon being so backed up.Since we were going to be running so late, we asked if we could skip the eyemakeup service then and just do our own quickly at home instead. They said we would have to still pay for it in full since it was part of the booking. I understand that policy however we were running behind due to THE SALON not because we showed up late or decided we just didn't want the service anymore. Most places waive certain fees, give you a credit, something but this was not the case here.The owner kept being rough with the hair , understandably she was in a rush, but it should not hurt to have our hair combed.Other than the running late and lack of professionalism with policies, I think they did a good job on hair and makeup.

Brought some clothes to sell, all in trend and barely used. First they told me they were closing at 5, it was 3:15 when I came in, they seemed like they didn’t want to buy anything and were pretty rude. When I came back to see if they were interested they didn’t take anything and said the clothes were « too worn » and not what they wanted. Rather go to Plato’s Closet.

This is the best hairsalon in midtown. I always do my hair with Angelo, who is very professional and has many years of experience. He always does my hair the way I envision it, and I can only trust this place to do my hair. I've also had Elena as a stylist and she is amazing. Her positive energy , combined with many years of experience, will just make your day! They also offer many great and professional hair brands. I have recommended this hair salon to many of my friends , and they've also had a top notch experience. Highly recommended!

I love the entire team at Vain. I have never had such positive experience's with any other hair salon in the city. I will never go anywhere else. They listen to you and give you exactly what you want the prices are also very reasonable, it's easy to book an appointment and you can trust them 100%. I personally see Danielle and she is amazing. She is very talented and knows what she is doing. I highly recommend her to anyone. Thanks so much for everything you guys ! I look forward to seeing you all at my next appointment. !

Being new to the city, I thought finding a good stylist in a comfy salon wouldn't be easy, until Jamila worked wonders after carefully listening to my needs and hopes!She also made me feel welcome, and well cared for, providing great tips on places to check out!My hair now looks healthier, brighter, and refreshed. Plus, I have a good list of places to go see. Will definitely be back!

From the moment I walked in, Andre was extremely attentive to my requests. He showed genuine interest and readily provided feedback to ensure my vision came to fruition. He was also very pleasant to work with. If you're looking for a custom suit, look no further. This place is the real deal and provides top-notch service and quality. Would highly recommend and will definitely be returning for my second suit.

Love this salon! I was aware of Heartwood for years but it wasn’t until I happened to meet a stylist, Lindsay, at an event who encouraged me to come in after I told her I always wanted to lighten my hair. She made me feel so comfortable and at ease, even though I was unsure what I even wanted as I had not been to a stylist very much before. She made some great suggestions based on my hair type. I came out with the best hair beyond what I could’ve imagined. She remains my go to stylist to this day. The atmosphere here is relaxing and beautiful. Highly recommend.
